In this video, we bring to life the inspiring story of Celia, a Chinese immigrant who embarked on a unique journey of self-learning in technology.
With no prior knowledge, Celia navigated the complexities of video production, troubleshooting challenges independently. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge transformed her from a novice into a beacon of guidance for her community.
As she became more adept at video making, Cecilia initiated classes for other immigrant seniors, empowering them to capture and share their rich lived experiences through videos.
This narrative is not just about acquiring technical skills; it’s a demonstration of the power of individual and collective resilience in navigating the challenges and opportunities of lifelong learning.
Cecilia’s journey underscores the significance of community as a knowledge production space, especially in a global post-pandemic context where resilience and adaptability are essential.
